Present were Mayor Brandon Miller, Intern Chelsea Henkel, Alderpeople Jeff Warrichaiet, Tod Anderson, Greg Rudie, Utility Department Head Ron Anderson, Public Works Department Head Tim Christensen, committee member Ruth Spang. Also present was Sarah Nunn from Ayres. Craig Kasten was excused.

Roll was taken and the Open Meeting Law has been complied with.

No Public Input

Motion by Anderson, second by Warrichaiet to approve minutes of the 1-31-12 Joint Public Works and Utility Committee meeting.  Motion carried.

Motion by Anderson, second by Warrichaiet to award the Construction Contract for the base bid plus alternate bid #2 to De Groot, Inc. to go to council. Roll call vote 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.

Discussion was held about the funding of the construction project between Utility and Public Works, the decision was made to wait until the project is complete to determine how it will be split between Utility and Public Works.

Motion by Warrichaiet, second by Anderson to approve the Individual Project Supplement to Master Agreement for Professional Services (Ayres Associates construction contract): construction services for 2012 street/utility project. Roll call vote, 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.

Sarah Nunn explained how the easements would be prepared and the cost estimates.

There are 4 of them.  Kasten, DeBauch, Haack and Marquardt.

Motion by Anderson, second by Spang to approve the preparation of the easements as presented and sent on to the attorney. Roll call vote, 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.

Discussion on the removal of sidewalk at 127 S. Oak will be tabled until the next meeting. More information was requested.
